Artist's Comments

A tattoo design with influences from stained glass window design and stencil art.

Wow—Daily Deviation? Thanks to all who nominated this as a favourite over the years (and it has been years). The irony here is that I haven't updated this profile for almost two years, and was considering shutting it down.

If you want to see some newer things, head on over to my blog [link] or follow me on twitter [link]

I can't express how happy I am that there are people out there who enjoy my work. Thanks to all of you.

Great design and use of color. There needs to be more tatoos like these around.

Nice! The design is great along with the colors. I can really see the influences of stain glass. The jets add a interesting juxtaposition the the very organic/natural look of the piece. Perhaps this invasion of modern technology in the natural world it a eye sore. There is really a lot going on! Is that mother nature? hehe, I could ramble on about this for a while, but I need sleep. Great work!

thanks! i was aiming to have that contrast between the organic shapes and the really geometric - i think that the planes are the only straight lines in the whole thing.

and you're right - it IS mother nature. thanks again!
:iconyummygrubs:
thankyou - i think the only drawback with this design is that it would take ages to get done... if you really wanted it, though, i think it would be pretty cool.
:iconyummygrubs:
